Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021

The act includes several extensions of popular provisions of earlier COVID relief and stimulus acts passed in 2020. This includes additional loans under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) (including the allowance of a second round of loans for certain small businesses), relief for the hard-hit transportation industry, additional funding for programs related to vaccines and virus testing, and further expansion of federal unemployment assistance (providing $300 a week in unemployment payments, half of the amount received under the acts passed in the spring). View the full report here.

American Rescue Plan Act, 2021

The Act largely aligns with the framework put forth by President Biden before his inauguration on January 20. It includes extensions of enhanced unemployment relief, increased funding for COVID-19 testing and vaccination programs, aid to state and local governments, and assistance to schools to help get students back into classrooms. Visiting Kassouf

We are excited to welcome clients back for in-person meetings at our office. Please be aware of the following guidelines regarding our current office protocols before scheduling a visit:

  • Face coverings are optional for those who have been fully vaccinated. However, if you prefer to wear a face covering and are fully vaccinated, our team will do the same.
  • All visitors must self-assess using the COVID-19 screening survey below before they are allowed on site.
  • Clients must comply with all federal, state, and local guidelines, as well as Kassouf guidelines, when on Kassouf premises.
  • Frequently used items and surfaces are regularly disinfected.

COVID-19 Screening Survey

We ask that all Kassouf visitors please use this self-screening survey to evaluate your health prior to arriving on-site.

  • Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, or in contact with someone who has been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
  • Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat?
  • Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?
  • Have you experienced new loss of taste or smell?
  • Have you experienced vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?

Please ensure you have taken your temperature before arriving on-site and that it does not exceed 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit.

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, or if you are running a fever, please avoid the premises and seek medical care or COVID-19 testing or both.

We strongly recommend the use of our Kassouf  Client Web Portal to transfer your tax information to us in a secure manner.  See “Client Portals” menu at the top right of this page for access and instructions.  Contact our help desk for assistance at help@kassouf.com or call 205-443-2500 and ask for the help desk.
